y/cs :: Hacking Team Tryouts

Welcome to the tryouts for the Yale Computer Society CTF Competition Team!

To get started, please create an account with your @yale.edu email address. Then, go to /challenges and get those flags!

How this works

We will have two teams: the Competition team and the Club team!

Earn as many points as you can to get a chance to join the y/cs official CTF Competition team! The Competition team will be the main group of people competing in national CTFs, to earn honor and glory for Yale. Place high enough on the tryouts leaderboard to get a chance to talk over your CTF solutions with Eric (y/cs Director of Security), after which you may be offered a position on the team.

Even if you do not make it onto to the competition team, you are guaranteed a spot on the Club team, where you can learn more about security and be part of the cybersec community at Yale! The club team will also be participating in CTFs, and Club team members are first priority for promotion to Competition team in future semesters.
